Its beautiful garden setting on one of the most popular stretches of the River Thames makes Windsor Marina a favourite location for the discerning boat owner.

A day's cruising up or down stream of Windsor Marina will reveal many places of historic interest, charming quaintness and gastronomic delight. A watchful eye is kept on all craft by the experienced harbour master and his staff. Members and their guests may enjoy the facilities of Windsor Yacht Club. An elected committee organises a full programme of social and boating activities each year.

Windsor's Georgian and Victorian buildings make the town a fascinating place to explore. You can also visit the oldest inhabited castle in the world, which accommodates the Queen's priceless art collection as well as Queen Mary's famous doll's house.

On the opposite bank are Eton's renowned College and boathouses, which command a fine view of Windsor Castle.

Facilities

Hythe Marina Village offers full access to electricity, as well as refuse, waste oil and battery disposal. .

Available for use are toilets, showers and a well stocked chandlery.

In the interests of safety no refuelling can take place in the marina, only at the chandlery's fuel pier

There is a 24 hr petrol station on the main road which sells a small amount of essential items. Further afield there is a Tescos in Dedworth (please ask a member of staff for directions).

By road, situated on the outskirts of Windsor Town on the South bank of the Thames, Windsor Marina is easily accessed by leaving the M4 motorway at Junction 6 towards Windsor and then turning right on the A308 towards Maidenhead for 2.5 miles. The Marina can be found by taking the third exit at the garden centre roundabout.

By rail, Trains from Waterloo run frequently to Windsor, from where it is a short bus ride to the Marina.

Other Details

The main gate is accessible at night using the code given by the Dock Office. The gate opens automatically as you leave the Marina by car. Please do not give this code to unauthorised persons. If you experience any problems gaining access please call the Night Dockmaster on 0585 189805.
