Brixham Harbour

Brixham Harbour is located on the southern aspect of Tor Bay and boasts one of the largest fishing fleets in the UK with nearly 150 vessels, plus a thriving fish market to support it.

Brixham personifies the classic Devon fishing port, mixing tradition with a modern commercial interest.

There is currently a huge regeneration project being considered for the future of the harbour, involving the building of a Northern Arm, the reclamation of land on which to build and a review of transport access to the town.

Facilities

The enclosed Harbour at Brixham offers deep water moorings for some 250 vessels up to 30 metres. There are however, no town moorings available to visitors at present. Adjacent to the swinging moorings, past the breakwater lies Brixham Marina (ch.80) which provides pontoon berthing for up to 540 craft and includes visitor facilities, a fuel pontoon and an additional visitors/events pontoon.

Once past the MFV basin, home of the fishing fleet, further navigation into the Inner Harbour is subject to tidal conditions as this dries out. There are trot moorings catering for 50 vessels up to 8 metres in length.

The marina has fuel and gas facilities as well as electricity and water being supplied at points around the harbour.

As well as this, there are also cranage, storage and launching facilities.

The resort is set around Tor Bay, one of the most beautiful Bays in Europe, and includes the three towns of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham along a 22 mile stretch of coastline. Major road, air and rail links ensure a hassle free journey to the English Riviera, and it?s nearer than you think.

By Road, from the M6, M4 or A303 take the M5 to Exeter. Then pick up the A380 (mostly dual carriageway) to the centre of the resort.
