Torquay Harbour

Torquay, South West, United Kingdom

Torquay Harbour lies on the north shore of Tor Bay and although a high proportion of activities revolve around the leisure industry, it is still a fully operational commercial port.

The harbour will soon be subject to redevelopment in the form of a new complex adjacent to the Harbour Office, a town dock in the outer harbour, improvements on the quayside and a new bridge/cill between the outer and inner harbours.

Facilities

The Outer Harbour has 47 swinging moorings for craft of up to 12.19 metres (40') which are charged on an annual basis and are not normally available for visitors. Adjacent to the swinging moorings lies Torquay Marina Tel: 01803 200210 (ch.80) which provides pontoon berthing for up to 450 craft and includes visitor facilities.

The enclosed Harbour has 175 drying trot moorings suitable for craft from 4.27 metres (14') up to 9.15 metres (30') and are charged on an annual basis.

As well as this, there are also cranage, storage and launching facilities.

location

The resort is set around Tor Bay, one of the most beautiful Bays in Europe, and includes the three towns of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham along a 22 mile stretch of coastline. Major road, air and rail links ensure a hassle free journey to the English Riviera, and it?s nearer than you think.

By Road, from the M6, M4 or A303 take the M5 to Exeter. Then pick up the A380 (mostly dual carriageway) to the centre of the resort.
